AID GST Glutathione-S-Transferases PCR human genetics Kit
RDB 2090 GST
Glutathione-S-transferases (GST) are a multigene family of enzymes involved in detoxification and, sometimes, activation of a wide variation of exogenous and endogenous substances. The enzymes detoxify carcinogenic polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons and conjugate isothiocyanates by transducing them in less reactive and more water soluble products
Several polymorphisms of the GST genes are described resulting in enzymes with reduced activity. Depending on GST genotype patients can show different sensitivity against environmental pollutant and are more or less capable in metabolizing for example electrophilic carcinogens.
AID GST Kit enables determination of polymorphisms of Glutathione-S-Transferases (GST)
